The exciting and anticipated moments of pregnancy turned to sorrow and heartfelt loss when Baby Willow Rayne Monaghan was born silent into this world at 11:34 am at Carbondale Memorial Hospital on Saturday, September 3, 2022.
Created in love and eagerly wished for, Baby Willow's life was a brief gift that touched many hearts. Born weighing six pounds ten ounces, she had her daddy's fingers and toes. There is no footprint too small that does not leave an imprint on this world.
Survivors include her loving mommy and daddy- Brettan Lane Cooper and Robert Wayne "Bobby" Baker-Monaghan of Du Quoin; Big Sisters- Azelea Avery, Ezerah Monaghan, and Hayzel Monaghan; Grandparents- Becky and Jeff Dunkerson, William Jaye Monaghan, Angelina Lynette Cooper and John Wayne Cooper; Godparents- Johnny and Sonja Alvis; Uncles- Derek and Riley Cooper and Michael and Devin Sizemore; Aunt- Amber and Kevin Fuqua; and several nieces and nephews.
Family gathered for a private slumber room viewing at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in Du Quoin where they could hold and rock their precious Willow Rayne one final time.
To these parents, grandparents, and family members, the pain and disappointment is great and their loss will be carried heavily in their hearts for all their days. In the weeks and months ahead, they will miss this child terribly and will be in need of love, compassion, time, and understanding. We sincerely ask that everyone keep this family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home; 11 S. Hickory Street; Du Quoin, IL 62832. For more information or to sign the memorial guest register, please visit www.maxtonrosado.com or call 618-542-2020.
