Du Quoin- William Kelley Melton, age 47, of Du Quoin, passed away peacefully at his home at 7:00pm on Saturday, August 29, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Nashville, Illinois on January 25, 1973, the son of Ruth (Hart) Melton, Kelley was raised in Tamaroa and graduated from Pinckneyville High School. He married the love of his life, Jennifer Wall. They have shared twenty-six years of wonderful memories and blessings since their journey together began on April 10, 1994.
Kelley was of the Baptist faith, having attended Cornerstone Church. He worked as a forklift driver for Continental Tire. Kelley loved nothing more than spending time with family and cooking for everyone. The road trips, hiking, and memories made with his kids were the times he most treasured. He also enjoyed competing in BBQ cook-offs, and brewing beer with his brother, Carl, for which he earned the title of “Brew Master” of Big C Brewing. Kelley will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved him.

Kelley was preceded in death by his mother, mother-in-law- Brenda Wall, and his father-in-law- Deon Wall.
A celebration of Kelley's life will be held from 4-6pm on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his brother's cabin located at 6657 Sacred Heart Road; Du Quoin, IL 62832. This was a very special place to Kelley, where he always did the cooking at family functions, receiving the name "Kelley's Corner". Family and friends may gather directly at the cabin to join in food and fellowship. The family requests casual attire. Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in Du Quoin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
