Rocky B. Owens

Tamaroa- Rocky Bo Owens, age 60, of Tamaroa, passed away at 9:33pm on Saturday, September 5, 2020 in Benton.

Born as Kenneth Paul Owens in Benton on November 5, 1959 to James J. and Norma J. (Wright) Owens. Rocky became engaged to his love, Denise Graves. She survives in Benton.

Rocky was of Catholic faith, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin. Rocky was a former truck driver and jack-of-all trades.

Survivors include his adoptive mother and her husband- Charlene (Owens) and Ron Sawyer of Benton

Son- Gage Owens of Paducah, Kentucky

Fiancee- Denise Graves of Benton

Sister- Linda J. Bridges of Tamaroa

Sister- Kathy Ann (James) Kuberski of Mulkeytown

Brother- Gary Eugene Nickens of Tamaroa

Sister- Patricia Joy (Danny) Webb of Sesser

Half-Brother- Jon Mark Stratton of Salem, Kentucky

Several Nieces and Nephews

He was preceded in death by his biological parents- James and Norma Owens, adoptive father- Sheriff Frank Mangin, and four brothers- Jimmie L. Owens, Randall L. Owens, Victor R. Owens, and Rickie L. Owens.

Memorial services to celebrate Rocky's life will be held at a later date.  Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in Du Quoin is assisting the family with final arrangements.  Please check back for updated memorial service details, as they will be updated here as they are finalized.
