Mildred Keim Obituary

Mildred Irene Keim, age 57, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:35pm on Monday, October 17, 2022 at Carbondale Memorial Hospital. 

Mildred was born on September 1, 1965 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of John Henry (Wanda) Cleveland and Margaret Mercer. She married Denis J. Keim in Waterloo, Illinois on September 7, 2013. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2015.

Mildred had simple pleasures like fishing, camping, yard selling, and collecting items. She enjoyed just spending time outdoors. But more than anything, she loved her family and simply spending time with them. She will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.   

Survivors include:

Mother- Margaret Mercer of Steeleville

Father- John Henry Cleveland of Red Bud

Son- Christopher A. Schreder of Erick, Oklahoma

Daughter- Heather Kirkpatrick of Du Quoin

Son- Timothy M. Schreder of Red Bud

Son- Dustin Schreder of Decatur

Ten Grandchildren- Loralai Schreder

     Christopher A. Schreder III

     Aaron Schreder

     Alivia Goodman

     Kendel Kirkpatrick

     Mackenzie Schreder

     Nevaeh Schreder

     Solomon Davis

     Anna Schreder

     Serinity Schreder

Two Brothers- John and Lonnie Cleveland

Two Sisters- Beth McKenna and Susan McGee

She was preceded in death by her husband- Denis and her other mother that helped raise her- Wanda Cleveland.

Loved ones will gather for a private slumber room viewing at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in Du Quoin for the family to say final goodbyes to their most wonderful and loving mother, daughter, grandmother, and sister prior to her cremation rites.  Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in Du Quoin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
