When Donnie and Cathy went to the shelter to rescue a beagle, they had no idea how their lives would be changed forever and who was rescuing who. Cathy had the honor of picking him out and naming him, Mickey. At the early age of six weeks old, they could already tell he was stubborn and loved to run, running in their woods for hours. Just a couple weeks ago, his running led him straight to a skunk, which didn't fare well for Mickey. He loved to go for car rides and snuggle in bed with his momma Cathy. Mickey felt he deserved a treat every time Cathy came home. Mickey was her "brown eyed boy." He is now in Heaven with Donnie, who loved him just as much. Mickey passed away running free, doing what he loved. Run, Mickey, Run....nothing can hurt you in Heaven.
