Mia Prowell Obituary

Mia Mae Prowell, age 12, of Marion, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, surrounded by her mom, dad, and beloved Dr. Troop at 11:30am at Troop Veterinary Services in Marion. Mia had fought a brave battle with cancer for over three months. She was a fighter, fighting until the end.

Mia was adopted in 2009 from a puppy mill in Branson, Missouri at the age of 8 weeks. Mia has been such a pleasure to her family. Her favorite snack was beef jerky which she dearly loved. She loved to watch the security cameras and would definitely let the family know if someone or anything was on her property that should not be there. She loved to go bye-bye and see her favorite vet, Dr. Troop. She loved to sit in her momma's chair. It didn't matter if she was busy or not, she demanded to be picked up and put in the chair with momma. She loved to be petted by all of the family, especially Bill. He would massage her head, which she adored.  Mia was the best dog, even when she was so sick at the end of her life. She loved it outside on the deck so she could watch the birds and see the trains if any went by.

Mia was preceded in death by her sister, Emalee in 2020. They were best friends and very close companions. If you saw one, you would see the other. Emalee was deaf, so whatever Mia was doing, Emalee would do the same. They were very funny and brought much joy and laughter.

We sure do miss and love you, Mia. You are now pain free and with Emalee again and the rest of your family. You will be dancing in the sky.

At last again, I see your face,

Grieve not, I am in a better place.
