Jimmy Allen Hester II, age 34, of Sesser, passed away at his mother’s home in Sesser on June 2, 2023.
Jimmy was born in Du Quoin on June 20, 1988, the son of Mary Elaine (Montgomery) and Jimmy Allen Hester.
Jimmy graduated from Sesser-Valier High School in May of 2007. Some of Jimmy's favorite things were riding horses and Alabama football. He loved bull riding and spending time with his family and friends. He was always the life of party and never met a stranger. Jimmy was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Jimmy is survived by his mother- Elaine Hester of Sesser; his daughter- Isabella Marie Hester of Kentucky; his sister- Carrie Hester of Tulsa Oklahoma; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of many friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his father- Jimmy Allen Hester; his maternal grandparents- Mary and Wayne Montgomery; his paternal grandparents- John and Catherine Hester; and his good friend- John Melvin III.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of remembrance and celebration of Jimmy’s life. The visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home; 11 South Hickory Street; Du Quoin, IL 62832. Funeral services will begin at 12:00pm on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Dale Dunmyer officiating. Burial will follow at Old Du Quoin Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with his father.
