Janet Ann Rheinecker, age 76, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:45pm on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
Janet was born in Du Quoin on October 17, 1944, the daughter of James C. and Marjorie (Sapp) Neal. She had worked at the Blue Bell Packing Plant in Du Quoin and later retired from her career in the meat department at Du Quoin Kroger, where she had worked for more than thirty years.
Janet was an avid gardener, loving flowers and hummingbirds. She adored her furbabies and liked to spend time shopping on QVC and eating out with the family. What she treasured most, were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her greatest accomplishment in life was leading by example to teach her family to be strong, loving, supportive and independent. Traits that will pass down from her for generations. She will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Son- James and Melisa Rheinecker of Du Quoin
Three Grandchildren- Katelyn McKenzie of Du Quoin
Chelsey Rheinecker and Mark French of De Soto
Cole McKenzie and Kaylee Hempen of Du Quoin
Two Great Grandchildren- Ivey and Huxley French of De Soto
Sister- Kay and Andy Bishop of Du Quoin
Beloved dog, furbaby, and best friend- Lady
Beloved cats- Luna, Weebles, Sookie, and Toby
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother- William Neal.
As per her wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial visitation to celebrate Janet's life will be held from 4:00pm - 7:00pm on Monday, March 15, 2021 at Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home (11 S. Hickory Street; Du Quoin, IL 62832). Family and friends are asked to gather to share in memories and a time of fellowship.
