Eric Watts Obituary

Eric S. Watts, age 52, of Sparta, passed away at 5:12 pm on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Eric was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 10, 1971. A free spirit, Eric worked various jobs, always lending a helping hand when he could.

As per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Maxton-Rosado Funeral Home in Du Quoin is assisting the family with final arrangements. It was Eric's wish to be cremated and his ashes placed in a biodegradable urn designed to grow a beautiful, enduring memory tree. Planting this memorial tree in honor of Eric creates a permanent legacy that pays tribute to his life.
