Charles Dale Choate

Charles Dale Choate, age 66, of Carbondale, passed away at 12:05 pm on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Charles was born in Chester on December 9, 1956, the son of Albert Harold and Rosalee (Draves) Choate. 

Survivors include his son- Jason Choate; daughter- Linda (Jon) Weiderman; daughter- Dawn Choate; daughter- Melissa (Patrick) Eggers; son- Joe (Kim) Blake; 17 grandchildren- Brandon, Austin, Jasmine, Mason, Jonathan, Cynthia, Layden, Katlyn, Makayla, Jayden, Dagan, Abigail, Alexandria, Kaylee, CJ, David, and Jordan; 4 great-grandchildren- Bradley, Sophie, Lilianna, and Silas James; sister- Inis (Denny) Biesterfeld; brother- John (Debbie) Choate; brother- Allen (Mary) Choate; sister- Cathy (Donnie) Korando; brother- George (Sharon) Choate; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son- Joshua Michael Choate.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Pleasant Ridge Church in Rockwood, IL. A luncheon will follow for family and friends to share in a time of fellowship and fond remembrances of Charles. Those attending are welcome to bring a covered dish to share.
