Benjamin David Mathis, age 38, of Pinckneyville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 1:10 pm on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana after a long illness and complications with a congenital heart condition.
He was a Doctor of Pharmacy having attended St. Louis College of Pharmacy, as well as holding a Medical Doctor Degree from the SIUC School of Medicine. He worked for CVS pharmacies and practiced as a physician in the fields of Plastic Surgery and Anesthesiology. He had a brilliant mind and was an incredible clinical thinker. He so loved salvaging and restoring mechanical things large and small, anything old, rusty, and needing love. He also loved gardening and anything to do with working outside. He loved his family with all his heart and will be sorely missed by us all, but we will meet again Doc.
Benjamin was born on January 31, 1985, the son of David K. and Darby R. (Eichhorn) Mathis.
